Root Beer Floats are easy, and getting the perfect one just takes a little bit of effort.
Components
- Root Beer
- Ice Cream (probably vanilla flavor is best, but go ahead and try scooperman)
- Granulated Sugar
Assembly
- Refrigerate the root beer.
- Remove root beer from refrigeration temporarily and poor into measuring glass (like a 12oz plastic cup).
- Add a pinch of granulated sugar to the root beer. This allows the root beer to go flat.
- Return root beer to refrigerator for like twenty minutes.
- When you're ready, remove the root beer from the fridge and ice cream from the freezer (you should've kept this frozen).
- Scoop some ice cream into an appropriate container
- Slowly poor root beer over ice cream. Flat root beer doesn't foam as vigorously.
- (Optional) use a paddle straw to dissolve the ice cream into the root beer (this is apparently called a root beer freeze)
