The computers are really why we're all here, right? The first computer I remember using to any degree was my dad's Rainbow 100. For Christmas in 1996 or 1997 Dad bought a Gateway 2000 P5-133 workstation that was P54CS based. At some point, my maternal grandfather gave my mother a Packard Bell 286 in desktop form factor. When I was a freshman in high-school, I built my first PC in a Gateway 2000 4dx-33C tower that Dad brought home from work. Years later after I built my Core I7-920 PC, a friend convinced me to recycle most of my collection so I did.

After moving halfway across the state, I found the LGR YouTube channel and got frustrated watching him try to figure out which end of a floppy cable goes where. I decided to build a 486 and video tape it to show him how it's done. I collected all the parts but never recorded the video. That was four years ago, I've been rebuilding the collection since then.
